Heyo, I’m Koren! I am proud to be a student at McGill University studying biochemistry, with a passion for exploring hisory, photography, and so much more. I love learning more about molecules that make a difference, capturing moments through the eye of my camera, and sharing ideas that spark curiosity. When I’m not at school or biking through the city, I’m usually lost in a classic novel or enjoying a grass in a Montreal park.
In the summer of 2025 while studying for the MCAT, I took periodic breaks to learn more about a multitude of topics that interested me. Happening upon a Wikipedia article on the [History of England] (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/History_of_England), I fell down a rabbit hole and found myself looking into the Darien Scheme. In this journey, I stumbled across an article by Leif Gehrmann on [mapping the Scottish colony] (https://leifgehrmann.com/2023/04/02/mapping-new-caledonia/). Enjoying his work, I was inspired a few weeks later to create my own website.
I chose to article on science topics after reading a chemistry book of inventions and on history due to my long-standing love for the past! This space is a snapshot of who I am: my projects, my photography, my thoughts, and my sidequests. I wanted a place where people can see the intersection of curiosity, creativity, and discovery. It’s a place to share my journey, and I hope it inpsires exploration–whether in science, art, or life itself.
